Visit www.scad.edu Savannah State University: Founded in 1890, Savannah State is one of the University System of Georgia's longest-standing institutions and its oldest historically black university. The diverse student body of 4,900 students selects programs of study from 30 undergraduate degree majors and six graduate degree programs in three colleges – Business Administration, Sciences and Technology, and Liberal Arts and Social Sciences – as well as the School of Teacher Education. SSU houses a Confucius Institute, which is dedicated to teaching Chinese language and culture, facilitating cultural exchanges and promoting business cooperation. The university awards dual degrees in engineering specialties with the Georgia Institute of Technology.
