Savannah's international airport provides unparalleled service to businesses looking to centralize their operations on the East Coast and puts them in a superior position to handle future business expansions. Five airlines provide 287 direct nonstop passenger flights every week to major U.S. cities, providing convenient travel options for Savannah's residents and guests. Every day, passengers travel to destinations worldwide through these connecting hub cities. Passenger count data for the first nine months of 2015 are up over previous year data by 19.6%. After a year of moderate growth in 2013, business recovered greatly in 2014, growing by 16.7%. In 2014, Delta Air Lines held 40% of the market share at the airport. American Airlines is second with 28%, followed by United Airlines (24%), and jetBlue (7%). Allegiant began serving weekly nonstop flights in May of 2015.
