The value of multi-family home permits issued soared 51.7% to $151 million. The total number of residential units permitted increased to 2,826 from 2,694 in 2024. Residential Permitting Activity in the Savannah MSA The regional housing market in the three-county metro area continues to demonstrate strength with an increase in the total number of single family home building permits issued by +12.7%, The average value per unit issued decreased (-1.7%) from the previous year and sits at an average of $242,300.
