for college.

enrolled in more than 20 public
and private institutions of higher
learning in and around Savannah,
many pursuing courses of study in
technology and creative arts and
sciences that contribute to and
advance Savannah's vibrant and
growing economy.
GEORGIA'S HOPE
SCHOLARSHIP
HOPE — Helping Outstanding Pupils
Educationally — is funded by the
Georgia Lottery for Education.
Georgia high school graduates
(from 1993 and later) who have
demonstrated academic achievement
and are seeking college-level degrees
are eligible for HOPE Scholarship
assistance for in-state colleges and
universities. The funding formula is
greater for those attending public
institutions, but assistance is also
available at eligible private in-state
colleges and universities.
Georgia residents who are attend-
ing a Georgia public technical college
to earn a certifi cate or diploma are
eligible for a HOPE Grant regardless of
high school graduation date or grade
point average.
Also, students who have earned
General Educational Development
(GED) diplomas after June 30, 1993,
can receive one-time HOPE awards
for use toward tuition, books and other
education-related costs.
