Total qualified home sales, including single family homes, townhouses, 2-4 units, and condominiums in Chatham
County decreased 17% in 2023 to a total of 5,574 sales (estimated from data through 11/30/23) sales as compared
to 6,911 in 2022. The median sale price of a qualified home transaction in Chatham County was $320,000, an
increase of 19.1% as compared to the 2022 median of $298,500. Market share of sales at greater than $300,000
increased to 57% in 2023 from 49% in 2022.

Savannah continues to be in a favorable position with respect to home prices among comparable major
metropolitan cities and port cities. Savannah's $298,699 median list price for a single family home is well below that
of the national median list price of $346,600 and Savannah has a very affordable housing market compared to
southeastern and port cities.
