The Davenport House Museum highlights Savannah's his- toric preservation movement with live reenactments. The Pin Point Heritage Museum showcases Gullah-Geechee roots dating back to the 1700s when enslaved West Africans were brought to Coastal Georgia. These are just three of the dozens of museums that draw you in with their elegant, eclectic and interesting treasures and stories. Meanwhile, live music runs year-round, from the multifaceted Savannah Music Festival each spring to a full season of the Savannah Philharmonic. By 2040, the Georgia Hi-Lo Trail is projected to have 32 miles of trail in Effi ngham and Chatham counties at the southernmost end of a 211-mile trail that's ultimately going to connect in Union Point with the Firefl y Trail, which will run to Athens.
