4 Hello, and welcome to the 2022 Publix Savannah Women's Half Marathon & 5K! We cannot begin to explain how excited we are to finally welcome you back for an in-person event. We are honored that you have chosen to join us for a taste of Savannah in the fall. The support you all have given us since March 2020 means the world to us and thank you so much for making this event weekend the experience it has become. We wouldn't be here without you! If this is your first me running with us, we hope you will enjoy the course that takes you past some of Savannah's most iconic squares and landmarks. If you are a returning runner, thank you for your con nued support and we hope you enjoy the one small change to the course this year. On Saturday morning, you'll see the best of Savannah's Na onal Landmark Historic District while running through scenic squares and neighborhoods. Like the 2019 event, you will see several on-course elements this year. A er you round the iconic Forsyth Park Fountain and cross over the finish line, it's me to celebrate your achievements at the Post-Race Party where you will celebrate and dance the day away while enjoying the sounds of Erin McLendon & The Hellcats. But your Savannah getaway doesn't end a er the party! Saturday a ernoon and evening are the perfect me to head back to the shops and galleries you ran past earlier in the day, or maybe enjoy a cocktail as you stroll along Savannah's historic squares. Your weekend wraps up Sunday morning with Yoga on the Square, which is complimentary to all race par cipants. We hope you have the best weekend! Enjoy the 2022 Publix Savannah Women's Half Marathon & 5K! Sincerely, Rob Wells Execu ve Director, Savannah Sports Council WELCOME TO SAVANNAH
